The Changing Information Ecosystem

What happens when the content we read — and share with students — is created by AI? We’ll unpack issues around authorship, accuracy, and how AI-generated content is already shaping our digital and paper-based resources.

Known Issues and Challenges

Bias, privacy, the environment, access gaps, cognitive impact — we’ll look at where GenAI is falling short, and what that means for us as educators in Canada.

Practical Usage Strategies

You’ll leave with ideas you can apply. We’ll share what’s working (and what’s not) when it comes to using GenAI tools in ESL settings.

AI in the Workplace

Our learners are entering jobs where AI is already being used. How prepared are they — and how prepared are we? Let’s talk about the tools showing up in our own workplaces too.
