He then completed the ACE Advanced Grammar for English Teachers course and began the CERTESL program at the University of Saskatchewan, which he finished in 2012. Katie Parciak (PD Chair)

I am an Ontario Certified English Language Teacher.   I have a Bachelors Degree and Bachelor of Education ( Adult Ed.) from Brock University.  I then completed my TESL certificate at Fanshawe College.  I currently work at Thames Valley District School Board.  In my spare time, I enjoy to read and volunteer with many non -for-profit organizations.

Jessica Ali (Membership Chair)

Jessica Ali has been an English as a Second Language teacher for five years. She has taught ESL abroad in Peru; in the classroom, one on one tutoring and online teaching to international students. She loves teaching ESL because she values education and the position allows her to help others to improve themselves. Whether a students' goal is for academic purpose, a job or for general interest, it makes her feel like she is doing some good in the world. She loves meeting new people and learning about different cultures. She comes from a background of mixed cultures herself; her father is Iraqi, her mother is Romanian, her step-father is Portuguese, and her husband is Peruvian. With such diversity, she believes that this helps her connect with all of her international students of varying backgrounds. She is patient, funny, friendly, kind, approachable, gregarious, and a lover of languages. In addition to speaking English, she also speaks Romanian and Spanish fluently. Having learned three languages gives her an advantage to understand the perspective of her students' needs.

Jen Artan (Social Media Chair)

Jen Artan is an experienced CLB curriculum writer and presenter. She currently works with Ellii.com (formerly ESL Library) and their amazing team of developers and writers. Jen has been a Technology Lead Instructor, having worked with Thames Valley District School Board and IWC Hamilton. She is also a Mentor/Trainer with LearnIT2Teach (Avenue.ca). A certified Google Educator (Level 2), TESL Ontario Webinar Presenter, and a Masters of Education graduate from the Ontario Technical University, she likes to keep current on educational technology for adult learners. She has presented webinars on educational technology topics such as Google Apps for Education, Jamboard, Soundtrap, Mobile Learning in Adult ESL, Pragmatics in ESL, and Blogging. Jen has also presented at the TESL Ontario Fall conference on "Project Based Learning in Specialized Language Training Courses". She presented at TESL Toronto, TESL Ontario, TESL Hamilton and TESL London's language conferences. Jen continues to work closely with TESL Ontario, developing webinar ideas for ESL instructors, and keeping current on how educational technology is used to help engage learning and develop 21st Century skills.
